Don't Touch Me

Humans are curious creatures by nature, always drawn toward the mysterious and the unknown. This attraction has been a subject of fascination through the ages, shaping our interactions and our understanding of the world around us.

Don't Touch Me is a reflection on this human condition, a play on the balance between curiosity and self-preservation. It invites the audience to challenge the forces that stimulate our interest in interactions with the unknown. It uses the interplay of proximity and distance to evoke an understanding of our attraction to the unfamiliar and the potential consequences of coming too close.

The installation uses an Intel Realsense depth camera to detect the position of the visitor in space. It generates a soundscape based on the proximity of the visitor and it also creates live visuals based on the depth image.
